Aptos Labs launched its mainnet on Oct 17, 2022. The Layer 1 blockchain, built by ex-Meta Diem developers using Move language, boasts parallel processing of 130,000 TPS. It raised $350M from a16z, FTX, Multicoin etc., but APT token is not yet listed on exchanges.

Mo Shaikh, co-founder of Aptos, along with three former Aptos executives, launched Maximum Frequency Ventures (MFV), a $50 million fund focused on early-stage crypto builders with hands-on operational support and long-term commitment.

Aptos positions itself as a high-performance Layer 1 built around BFT consensus, Block-STM parallel execution, and the Move language, targeting DeFi, NFTs, and enterprise blockchain use cases.
